They may assume that blurry vision, seeing double, or having difficulty focusing is just part of how everyone sees the world - they have never known anything different!
Some signs of a vision problem might include squinting, holding books too close, avoiding reading, or frequent end-of-day headaches. But some vision issues show no obvious symptoms at all.
That’s why a comprehensive eye exam before school starts is so important. It helps ensure your child has the visual tools they need to thrive in the year ahead which gives you peace of mind heading into the fall as well!

It may seem young, but your optometrist is able to check for important developmental milestones, detect early signs of eye conditions like strabismus (crossed eyes) or amblyopia (lazy eye), and ensure your child’s visual system is developing properly. Early detection can make a big difference in treatment success and support your child’s learning and development from the very beginning.
